Multiple Deep Potholes & Rutting of Road Surface

Reported anonymously at 00:22, Mon 8 February 2021

The whole stretch of road surface from the Dalscote turning off the greenway down to the junction with Gayton road leading into Eastcote needs completely resurfacing and the sub base needs improving to cope with the weight of modern farming vehicles & equipment ad well as the traffic level the road experiences. As the photos show the road has multiple potholes most of which are very deep, and there is also a huge amount of rutting and uneven cambers on the road which is evidenced by the large build up of puddles as shown in the pictures. The state of the road is now severely dangerous particularly to cyclists, runners and pedestrians and even more so at night. If i were to personally experience personal injury or damage to my bike or car as a result of the condition of this road I would be taking legal action against the council and highways for compensation and reimbursement of any costs incurred as a result. The road is a popular short stretch for cyclists and runners and also used as a regular walking route for local residents. in addition to a new road surface it would also benefit from some street lighting between the two junctions.
