Dangerous vegetation overhanging footpath

Reported anonymously at 10:43, Fri 17 September 2021

Trees and vegetation are overhanging and encroaching onto the footpath along its length between the western edge of Old Stratford, over the footbridge between Old Stratford and Deanshanger. This route is used by pedestrians, including a blind gentleman who regularly walks from Deanshanger EWS South Campus to Old Stratford, and cyclists. A community minded resident has cut back some of it but it is something that should be on the maintenance schedule rather than being dependent on Street Doctor Reports. This was last reported some time ago on reference 2899975. This was done some years ago as a result of problems encountered by the blind gentleman and we were told it would be done regularly. It hasn't. The report on the above reference says that it would be done in 4-6 weeks. This was last updated at the end of July and it is now mid September - more than six weeks have passed!
