Since the road at the top of our house has been re surfaced, they removed the kerbs and replaced them but they have not been set correctly, the wrong height and 2 or 3 of them wobble when walked or drove on. In the last 3 weeks we have had flooding into our garage from a couple of times from the water running down the road and up and over the kerb edgings, causing our garage to flood, damaging items in the garage e.g., tumble dryer and fridge freezer as well as other items. This problem needs sorting because before the road was re surfaced we never had this problem!

I would like to place a post to agree with all the point made by one of my neighbours regarding the flooding of road since the resurfacing. This has also now resulted in water now flowing down our drive which it didn’t used to do before the road resurface. I would also like to point out that there is a culvert on the opposite side of the road that used to be maintained by the college. Since the college has been rebuilt and a boundary fence has been erected no one maintains the hedge and culvert which now falls outside the college boundary. I believe that the lack of maintenance of this area is also having an effect with the water holding on our road. Who is responsible for maintaining this culvert and hedge ?
