Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 14:53, Saturday 30 March 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 2 minutes later. ref: 1588908.

These 2 potholes have been growing for some time and are now large and deep and as there are 2, 1 near the the kerbside of the lane and 1 near the centre of the road, it is now impossible to avoid hitting them without veering onto the wrong side of the road. They are located on the side of the road heading away from town centre and are located just after the last house before the cemetery

  • The pothole in the middle of the road is dangerous. Surely it cannot be left for up to 28 weeks? As the previous poster has said, these potholes have been growing. It is now significantly larger than it was at the date of inspection. Please could you check them again, thanks.

  • I just went to report these potholes, to find that it’s already been done. My car was steered to one side of the road due to riding over the large one. Who will take responsibility for accident damage to vehicle in having to wait 28 weeks!?

  • These potholes have increased in size and depth and need urgently reinspecting as the current time scale for repair no longer matches the severity of the damage to the highway

  • Why are these potholes being allowed to encroach across the carriageway? It is highly dangerous. When approaching the potholes, it is necessary to slow down and swerve into the other side of the road. The alternative is to slow to about 5mph and try to negotiate them without damaging your car. Drivers behind may be unaware of why you are slowing, oncoming traffic doesn’t expect you to suddenly move into their lane. The condition of this section of road is appallingly dangerous. Should there be an accident or damage caused to vehicles, the council will be liable and face increased costs in terms of paying compensation. Please, just get them repaired. Properly.

  • These potholes are exceptionally dangerous and if left unattended could easily become one enormous hole right across this side of the road . Swerving onto the opposite side is at present is the only way to avoid the holes otherwise a vehicle would side swipe the kerb. It's been left too long .
