Vehicles parked on payement causing pedestrian obstruction

Reported in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 10:22, Thu 4 April 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 3 minutes later. ref: 1593783.

Unable to walk on pavement due to cars always (every week day) parked on the pavement. This is usually 4,5 or 6 cars parked up to 3 abreast. Also, at the corner junction of Park Street and Brackely Road cars park on the double yellow lines. Therefore when driving out of Park Street these parked vehicles cause others to take a wide angle across Bracklely Road to make a left turn.

Updates

  • Here we have a car, that has ignored the double yellow lines driven along the pavement and park on the pavement.

Driving on the pavement is an offence however in Towcester, particularly at this junction and pomfret way nothing is ever done about it.
