Poor road condition littered with potholes, cracked road, and deterioration
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 12:24, Tue 9 April 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 2 minutes later. ref: 1598517.
I originally reported this under the street doctor reference 967713. Stating the island serving Leamington way, Yeomanry way, and Royal Oak Way South had 15-20 approx potholes, that the road surface was worn, and that there were pothole repairs on top of pothole repairs (ie potholes repairs in side of precursor potholes). NCC agreed this road needed repairs on 22nd March, and they would be done within 2 months to NCC standards. Well limited repairs were conducted to 2 or 3 potholes - This is extremely poor that the work men could not see the very evident mess this island is in. Neither was the entire island inspected, as they would have seen the dire state this road surface is in (around the complete island), and has been for the last 10-15yrs at least. To make matters worse due to significant increase in warehousing in Daventry, the increased HGV traffic is undoubtedly not helping. As it is clear to see Leamington way (A425) either side of this island in question is also all cracked. Please re-consider this island & Leamington Way to be re-surfaced to an acceptable standard. As the island especially is posing potential damage to peoples cars, a danger to cyclists and motor cyclists
