Please put up signs warning fast traffic that there are traffic lights!!!!!!
Reported in the Damaged / Missing / Facing Wrong Way category anonymously at 09:13, Tue 23 April 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 3 minutes later. ref: 1609949.
I can see at least 2 people have already reported the complete lack of signage regarding the new traffic lights at the Barnwell/Oundle junction on the A605. As locals we have been made aware of the new lights by the months of queuing on the A605 whilst the lights were being installed BUT drivers travelling through the area at a legal speed of 60mph and lorry drivers are NOT given ANY warning that after the bend there is a red light and possibly a queue of traffic ready for them to plough into the back of. Please, please can some one in authority come and see for themselves the lack of clear signage and the inappropriate speed limit for such a change to the road layout on a major busy route through this area. Will it have to wait until there is a fatality?????

You HAVE to alert drivers on the A605 about the new traffic lights at the A605/Barnwell Road junction. I was sat at the Barnwell Road junction at 8.10am, 27th April. My light turned green, but for the fact that I paused momentarily (seconds) to place a wrapper in my cupholder, I am not sure that there would have been anything left or me, my car or the 4x4 that sped through the red light at 60mph +. If you do not alert drivers to the new road layout, you will have blood on your hands. I will take it upon myself to go to the press unless you sort this immediately - a shameful dereliction in your duty of care.
