Very overgrown tree needs to be cut back

Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 11:01, Tue 23 April 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 4 minutes later. ref: 1610106.

There’s a very large conifer that is blocking the light from her house and garden. It’s at the side of a public footpath, and occasionally branches fall (during snow and heavy winds).

As I understand it, enquiries about the tree have been made in the past, but it is now considerably larger and wider than the last complaint, and we wondered who we could talk to about potentially having the tree trimmed or chopped down.

  • The tree is at the back of the property on the public footpath beside the field? Inspector may have looked at the front of the property rather than at the back where the tree is. The tree is so huge
