Constant running water across road, constantly wet footpath causing slippery surface.
Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 13:12, Wed 24 April 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 3 minutes later. ref: 1611461.
This water issue has been checked in March last year by ENC and Anglia Water. The water is rising from a blocked road drain via a disused water main stop cock cover in the kerb. The drain empties into the brook approximately 10 meters away. The blockage appears to be between the stop cock and the brook under the football/kerb.

This problem has been ongoing for over a year. Reported by numerous people and still not resolved. The road surface is permanently wet and the footpath is slippery and dangerous. The footpath is the only footpath between Great and Little Addington. It is the only safe route to the school for pedestrians and is the only route to the village playing field for residents and the school children. The underground pipe from the road side drain to the brook where it empties is blocked and just needs to be cleaned along its 20 meter length.

The water is still bubbling up and is now coming up at the side of the footpath making the footpath extremely slimy / slippy. When is this ongoing problem going to be resolved?

The engineers said that the drain has collapsed, so presumably a further work order has been raised?
