  • These potholes have still not been repaired despite white lines being painted around them twice. We now have a large pothole at the entrance to the close where the stone underneath is exposed, we have a pothole halfway along the close where the stones underneath are also exposed. Both are getting bigger on a daily basis. Finally, the potholes in the middle of the turning circle have become one big depression which is being used as a skid pan by the kids in the street riding their bikes. They have been told several times to desist but to no avail. We are reaching the stage where the whole close will need to be resurfaced. Will I be getting a rebate on my council tax or road tax to compensate for the damage which is undoubtedly being done to my tyres and suspension. This is an adopted road and as such should be maintained to the correct standard. I believe the High Street in Roade has been repaired at least twice whilst Northampton Road is simply left to deteriorate or is simply patched. How about our part of the village getting the benefit of road repairs being carried out properly for a change?

  • Thank you for sending a team out on a Friday afternoon with enough tarmac to fill only half the potholes & not the worst ones!
