Oakley road, Rushton has numerous problems with the edge of the road being warn away and gravel/MOT being laid next to it.
Along a lot of this road the edge has warn. We were travelling towards Corby in our family vehicle when a Mick George Lorry was coming towards us. Because the road is quite narrow the measure wheels if the lorry dropped off the tarmac and into the mot. When the driver realised this had happened on correcting his lorry back onto the main road the lorry went off balance rocking the lorry from side to side. The lorry was not travelling at speed at all, its just the layout of the road that caused this to happen. There are a number of areas this can happen and to see this happen directly in front of us was a frightening experience.
As you are already aware unfortunately a young girl was killed on this road in the same circumstances. Something needs to be done urgently before someone else gets seriously hurt or worse.
I am contacting yourselves but if it is a case that Mick George are responsible for the upkeep if the road then this will need to be forwarded to them.
