The problem with the overgrown vegetation has been ongoing for some years. The owners of the land are not fulfilling their responsibility. The issue is now impacting on the pavement and causing a safety hazard for pedestrians. This is due to the briars etc hanging over the wall and the excessive vegetation on pavement at base of wall. I understand a letter has been sent to the owners in March 2019 to take action. No action has been taken.

In addition to the blackberry vines which are now encroaching on the pavement, there is an overhanging tree which you now have to duck under. Easy if you're fit and agile, not so for elderly people.

Dear Sir or Madam There has been no visible progress on the above. The impact on pedestrians using the pavement on Greenacre Drive is getting worse and the risk of injury is significant. Can you advise what positive action has been taken since the matter has been reported for the 3rd time on 3rd May 2019. It was previously reported on 11 March 2019 under old reference number 966981 and on 11th September 2018 under old reference number 954339. The only action taken then was to refer matter to Sue Taylor or Eric Drake and send out a resolve letter. This will not address what has now become the responsibility of the local authority due to the safety impact on passing pedestrians. Can you please confirm what action you propose to take on the matter. Many Thanks John Monaghan
