Path is usafe as trees & vegetation overgrown
Reported in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 09:29, Wednesday 8 May 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 1 minute later. ref: 1623452.
Path is unsafe to use as trees and bushes are severely overgrown such that only 1 ft of path is left for use, this forces users onto the fast road. Whilst running on this path last night my dog was nearly hit by a car because of this clear hazard. Lots of people use this path to walk their dogs and run. Nb: your system has no option for obstructions that ARE vegetation! I have been aware of this for some months and see that it has been reported by others too. You can see upon inspection that the majority of the path from the cattery down to the village entrance is effected. I believe the road is called Cotton road, as it passes Cotton End Park.
Thank you for reporting a fault on the highway. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

This path is getting narrower and more dangerous. Large Vehicles are having to slow right down in order to pass pedestrians on the path.

Limited emergency works were cwrried out early in the season to limit safety issues Birds nesting restrictions meant that this was the most we could do at the time. Works have now been ordered to carry out more extensive clearance.
