Missing Junction Sign between the end of this road and the road that leads to Mawsley - (Faxton Corner/Daventry/Loddington). No sign option to highlight but this is definitely a junction and dangerous as people could just drive out into oncoming traffic.

Thank you for your query to Northamptonshire County Council’s Street Doctor Service with regard to your request for the installation of a give way sign at the junction of Mawsley Lane, Loddington. Give way signs are generally only installed at junctions in residential areas where a side road meets an “A” class road or if there has been a history of injury accidents at a particular junction caused by drivers failing to give way. As Mawsley Lane is not a through route drivers can only enter at this point so will be aware that there is a junction here. Vehicle numbers are also likely to be minimal as this road serves very few properties and I’m pleased to report that no injury accidents have been recorded at this junction over the last 20 years therefore this would not warrant the introduction of a sign on casualty reduction grounds. We will however made our maintenance section aware that the roadmarking at this junction require refurbishment. I hope that this explains the situation.
