Cars parked on the road between William st and oxford st

Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 21:23, Wed 15 May 2019 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 2 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 1631048.

The cars/ vans parked on the side of the road are obstructing the view of traffic coming from the right when pulling out of oxford street onto Irthlingborough road. On this particular part of the road I can see that the double yellow lines break to allow for resident parking but unfortunately more often than not the cars still park on the double yellow lines also. In my opinion there should be no parking on this stretch of road given how busy it is all of the time. There is a constant and fast flowing stream of traffic coming through finedon on a daily basis, it gives direct access to the A6 and A14. This has been a problem for years which I have highlighted previously, but it was my self that had a very near miss with a police car that was travelling at some speed along Irthlingborough road which I very nearly pulled out in front of. Luckily I’m always very aware of the dangers here so it was quick reactions that avoided an accident. Please don’t wait for a fatality before rectifying this parking issue.
