Only part of the repair was fixed. The path around the property is broken away from ise view street sign around corner onto dunkirk up to the electric box as per original report above. Please can this all be repaired. There is a hole under the electric box gaping into the property fencing.

Hello,
This is now the 4th time we have asked you to repair the crumbling pathway in this area. Twice you have attended and sprayed paint around the damaged area and then you did place some tarmac behind the telegraph pole at beginning of Ise View Road, but this has caused damage to our private fence. The front of the pole was not fully secured and the tarmac there is still loose.
The street sign next to the pole is also surrounded by crumbling tarmac.
As noted and shown with images above, the tarmac around the green communication box is crumbling and there is now a hole under the fence into our property. Our front garden area has loose tarmac chunks which regularly fall from this area.
We have cleared the area of weeds twice in order for you to repair the path, as we cannot assess the damage to our fence until you have made the area safe.
There are now obvious holes alongside our fence and into the central area of the pathway.
I have attached photographs that replicate the original - these were taken at 0625 today (08/08/19) - this will show in detail the condition of the area.
I understand that the repair to the whole of Dunkirk Avenue road and pathway has been placed on hold due to the lack of NCC funding and the ongoing 'work' agreement between KBC and the Leyton Williams project at the apparent 'trout farm' / waste disposal facility as whilst the heavy dirt lorries and plant transporters are using the road, the surface is failing. This however, should not put the safety of our property at risk, nor for persons walking on the public path.

Please also see the second report for this case --
Repeat request for repair of pathway which is causing damage to a private fence and the communication box alongside.

Hi,
I believe Ian Smith, an area manager has picked up this complaint - please be aware that there is now further damage after residental weed clearing of the public space and the telecoms cable is visible.
Heavy rains have also loosened further tarmac layers at the rear of the communications box and rubbish is falling from this area into the private garden along with lumps of tarmac and gravel.

Please can we have an update when this will be repaired as it has been nearly month since it was inspected..

Hi,
It transpires that second report for this case, with the further images has been deleted from this database.
The damage has increased with the heavy rain and heat over the summer with internet cable still visible through the pavement and the layers of tarmac still crumbling below the private property fence line.
The weeds that we have continually cleared are still growing and causing damage to the loose tarmac surface.
Ian has our details, is he able to give a date for this work please? We will soon be relaying our own drive, so do not want to impede, or cause unsightly border edging with duplicate fence line details.
Many Thanks,

These are views from the inside of the property, it is clear that years worth of layering of the tarmac is crumbling and it has bowed so much that the protective base frame has broken away.
*It is however interesting to see how the pathways have just been heightened with added layers of tarmac, rather than digging and relaying. This can be replicated by looking at the base of front walls along the street.

This is the noted damage to the communications box which is the other side of the fence to the pictures above.
Ian Smith has attended the premises to see this damage and did state that this area of pavement would be added to the work schedule. Has this been rotaed yet?
Many Thanks,

Hi, Thank you for updating the action on this case.
We have noted that spray paint has been again applied, but only in certain areas, rather than completely re-edging the area.
*Refilling holes will not solve the problem of the crumbling surface, as only doing some will mean you will be back out shortly when the other areas crumble to a larger size.
We have also noted that there appears to be no remedy for the fallen tarmac at the rear of the communications box. It is this area that is collapsing into the private garden.
The uncovered communications cable also has not been indicated with paint for repair - I am sure that this is an unintended error and the safety of the utility will be preserved.
There also appears to be no intention to fix the area at the junction of Ise View Road or refill the already loosening area at the telegraph pole that was 'fixed' back in the summer.
Is the entire area going to be remedied correctly? Again, until the pathway is supported and resurfaced correctly, we cannot make plans to shore up the private fence.
Do you have a time for this work?
Many Thanks,

Morning,
It has been noted that a crew has arrived to complete the works.
Thank you for being so prompt, we look forward to viewing the repaired path edging and filling of all the cracks within the pavement.
Hopefully this work will now prevent the further erosion of the tarmac and unless dug up by utilities should remain strong for several seasons.
Many Thanks,

Ops... I spoke too soon.
Your staff have been at the location less than 40minutes. This does not indicate a digging and relaying job, nor enough time to even weed the area thoroughly. I have attached images which show several missed areas that still need resurfacing...
The collapsed area around the communications box has not been rebuilt and therefore still requires fixing.
Like the area on Ise View Road with the sprayed and pushed tarmac around the telegraph pole, where weeds have already returned... this quick fix work will erode by next spring.
**I suggest we keep this case open.
When is the fallen area around the box being fixed? Is that yourself or BT Openworld.

There are still several weeds and path erosion to the far end of the pathway that has not been fixed. The work that has been done consists of yet more tarmac pushed up against our fence causing damage - you can see that the properly line has been pushed back, in the same way that previous repairs have done.
The corner of Ise View has again been neglected.
I have added images of the rear of the comms box - there is still falling tarmac, and with the new 'sprayed on' surface, there are more loose sections to fall through the fence beyond...
I really cannot see how your staff are happy in their work. They clearly have limited time to attend repairs and therefore not able to complete tasks to the best of their ability. No wonder Northants has a plethora of pot holes and crumbling pavements if a quick cut and spray is the current method of repair.
They will be back as this work will fail due to the lack of integrity at the joint. Why not just do tarmac repairs properly once, rather than several times badly? I'm sure there is a fable about that....
Look forward to Ian Smith revisiting in order to repair the communications box properly and for the rest of the edging work to be finished.
Many Thanks,
