Abuse of disabled parking bay, faded road markings, no signage
Reported in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 20:53, Mon 3 June 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 2 minutes later. ref: 1647910.
The disabled bay on the High Street is very poorly marked as you can see, the bays line markings are undefined and the post in the middle of the bay has no disabled sign at all! Only on the posts either side! Opposite the bay is a shop, Teressa Deli, and the bay is constantly abused by its customers who treat it as their own personal parking space as it is often left empty by law abiding people. I work in a shop on the High Street and have watched this happening all day, every day for the last two years. Better markings and signs are badly needed , maybe in other languages too, as many plead ignorance. It is sad watching disabled people driving round and round unable to park as the spaces are continually taken by the shops patrons.
