Outside the back of number 56
Reported in the Blocked Ditch category anonymously at 10:27, Wed 19 June 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 2 minutes later. ref: 1666558.
There is a ditch at the back of the property and the neighbouring 5 houses. There is a new development that is being built and the remedial ground work that is being done there has a run off of water and mud from the site which is running through the ditch. There is a pipe running under the road that seems to also be blocked. As a result of the run off of water and the amount there is, the ditch is filling up with both water and mud, as well as the debris that was already in the ditch, and it is starting to flow towards number 56 and the other 5 properties next to it. The owner of number 56 would like you to contact him on the phone number provided if possible

Whitemountain are currently carrying works out on the site on the other side of the ditch but have not been tasked with upgrading this ditch of pipe work running under the road. The ditch on the opposite side of the road is also blocked. There was a suggestion that this ditch could be incorporated into the drainage work that Whitemountain is carrying out at present. I have the site contact phone number for Whitemountain if required. I am happy to meet someone on site if required to explain the issue further. Thanks

The ditch is to the side of our property/plot and not the rear. It runs through the spinney and is piped under the road as shown in the photos attached. Thanks

Dear Sir thank you for contacting the County Council regarding these works. The developer is monitoring the situation with the S278 Site inspector to minimise any impact that their work is having here.

Please advise when Cranford Road (Barton Seagrave to Cranford) will re-open. The 18 weeks for the work to be completed have passed but no update has been given to affected residents.

We have had the emergency tanker out over the weekend due to the drainage situation. They have said that they will report back from their end aswell. The ditch running along Cranford Road opposite our row of houses is still blocked and still needs clearing. I have made Persimmon homes aware of the situation but I’m unsure if they are going to get involved. Obviously the landowner is not interested in carrying out the work himself. Could someone please contact me at david_elliott_37@hotmail.com to let me know what is being done. Alternatively my phone number is 07919093948. Thanks David
