Cracked and uneven paving
Reported in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 14:03, Friday 21 June 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 3 minutes later. ref: 1669647.
The grass has grown into the pavement and now impinges on the path - it is now only passable in single file, which makes life difficult for wheelchair users and parents using pushchairs and their accompanying children as they walk to school. The surface is broken and uneven and older people fall due to the uneven surface.
Thank you for reporting a fault on the highway. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

I live in Browns Close off The Grove. We have no footpath on this side of the road and it is impossible to access the steps directly opposite with a buggy/wheelchair owing to steepness, disrepair and no handrail. I have witnessed elderly and ill residents trying to negotiate these steps and it is seemingly ‘an accident waiting to happen’. The pathways are permanent trip hazards, plagued by debris coming from the banks, narrowed pathway through verges overgrowing and are lethal in the icy months. The handrails along the top path are in an appalling state and I doubt meet current health and safety guidelines. I have lived in Browns Close for over twenty years and nothing ever gets done. The residents of The Grove deserve better! Please come and look for yourselves. Thankyou for taking time to read our concerns.
