Crash barrier is too short and leads into a tree

Reported in the Crash Barriers - Damaged / Missing category anonymously at 08:57, Wednesday 26 June 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 4 minutes later. ref: 1674641.

This corner has been notorious for decades and last year led to the tragic death of a teenage girl. When I was at school 20 years ago 2 people crashed here. The corner starts after a downhill so the weight is transferred to the back of the car and inexperienced drivers driving too fast under-steer into the tree.

The google street view was taken before that acciedent and you can see the damage to the tree from multiple incidents over the years - the barrier just needs to be a little longer to help save people from themselves.
