Restricted view on bend
Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 19:57, Fri 28 June 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 3 minutes later. ref: 1678005.
On leaving Irchester and entering the National Speed limit section of Gipsy Lane, the verge to the left is very overgrown.
This obscures the Irchester Country Park sign, but more importantly, hides the fact that there is a bus stop just around the bend.
A non-local on entering the National Speed limit section will accelerate and without being able to see the warning for the entrance to the Country Park or the bus stop, this is an accident waiting to happen.
A very poor attempt to clear the Country Park sign was made recently, but it isn't good enough.
This has every potential to result in a very serious incident and needs to be resolved very quickly.

This has still not been rectified, the junction to the Country Park and more importantly, the bus stop are still obscured as you leave the Village, by trees and bushes. The tidying of the grass verges is totally inadequate and the risk of an accident still exists. This will not be fully rectified, so don’t bother contacting me again!
