Road marking in the wrong place.
Reported in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 13:57, Tuesday 9 July 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 4 minutes later. ref: 1690084.
We have always believed (informed by previous neighbours) that the council put these restricted parking markings in the wrong place long ago. (The end of Birchfield Road on the right ). No tickets have been issued in all the time people have parked here and the lines had almost disappeared. Today they came and repainted them. Has there been a new order or is this an error?
Thank you for reporting a fault on the highway. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

Who should I contact then please? I do not believe this area was ever supposed to be 'no parking'. It has always been parked on and as space is already limited on Birchfield Road. Can you check if the original parking order for Birchfield Road Phippsville should have had this area designated as no parking? As per my earlier message, we were always informed that it had been marked in error, many years ago and as such, is a parking area. My understanding is that the order did not have this area as 'no parking'. It had been allowed to fade as it was NOT a no parking area. It should not have been remarked. You reply does not confirm what I asked in my original message to you.
