Lack of needed stop signs on minor roads
Reported in the Damaged / Missing / Facing Wrong Way category anonymously at 18:15, Thu 11 July 2019

Yet another accident at the juncttion of Hardwater and Earls Barton Road. This has location been reported so many times it is getting beyond ridiculous. This junction is plagued by accidents, many of which could be avoided by the use of suitable signage, like a caution sign on the major road and STOP signs on the minor road as well as having painted "STOP" on and across the minor roads. I see yet again a multiple car accident has occured, just yesterday. I was almost personally killed by a vehicle that came up from Hardwater, did not stop and shot straight across the crossing missing me by about 0.5m without stopping. Anyone with an ounce of intelligence would realise that coming up the hill the view a driver gets makes it look like there is no crossing since they just see the continuation up Cut Throat Lane. I understand that someone seems to think this is not required as it does not meeet some "standard". I truly hope that when there is a fatal accident, and it is a case of when not if, the person, or persons making this decision are held personally to account since this appears to have yet again beeen refused by the roads department. Do something about making this junction more clearly marked before lives and families are destroyed by this.
