This ‘pot hole’ is getting very deep and dangerous. Can a cone be put on it immediately?

Just driven down village. Looks more like a sink hole now. Very deep and tarmac has split open. Think it's about 10 inches deep and in driving line.very dangerous. Please can you cone off.

The photo doesn't show it well, but whilst the pavement is bad the depression in the middle of the road is becoming dangerous and getting worse - please can you take action. Thank You.
