"no right turn" sign in wrong place
Reported in the Safety Bollard - Damaged/Missing category anonymously at 15:53, Sun 28 July 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 3 minutes later. ref: 1711132.
There is a no right turn sign on lower street from the roundabout heading east towards town centre, to restrict right turns off lower st into mariners way, however, due to bad positioning of the sign, and road markings that do not say "no right turn", but "ahead only", means that there is a lot of traffic turning right into mariners way, causing added congestion onto the northfield ave roundabout

The site has been reviewed by an Engineer. The No right turn sign is deemed visible on approach to the junction and is clear to users that it applies to the adjacent junction. Unfortunately road markings are dictated by the Traffic Sign regulations and the road marking currently on site is the only permitted variant. A not right turn marking is not permitted. However we do acknowledge that the site of the signage could be improved and as such we will add this to our scheme works list. This will rank the works along with all other requests received within the County, with the priorities delivered through the available budgets. I hope this is of use.
