Recently a section of the brrok was reworked and cleared, this has led to the junction with Corby Road flooding 3 times
Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 22:12, Sun 28 July 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 3 minutes later. ref: 1711381.
Section at the junction with Corby Road has flooded at least 3 times since the work was carried out on the brook. I have never sen this section flood until the work was carried out. Also the drainage ditches were filled as part of the work and the entire length of gretton brook road (between pheonix parkway and corby road) now fills with water that previously drained into the brook. Further there is a fallen tree close to the junction nearing the highway and overgrown grass banks which obscure the view when leaving corby road.

The watercourse from was inspected 5th August 2019, from Phoenix park Way to Gretton Road. The Environment agency has been alerted about a fallen tree obstructing the water course. The culvert which crosses Gretton Road at Gretton Brook Road Junction was also found to be quite silted. Our Structures department has been alerted regarding this detail.
