Diseased/damaged tree

Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 21:05, Sun 28 July 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 5 minutes later. ref: 1711462.

A large branch fell off the tree on Kimbolton Rd opposite Chichele Street a month or so ago, blocking the pathway and driveway. This was dealt with very quickly. However, I am concerned that the tree may need some further attention as parts of it appears to be diseased and I am concerned that other larger branches may fall. The issue with this, is that if further branches do fall, they may cause damage to property or even to a member of the public. The photo shows that half of the tree is dead and a further branch has fallen this weekend. I am certainly not looking for the tree to be removed! But I do think it needs some maintenance. I worry that if it is left too long then it may end up dying altogether which would be a terrible shame.

  • As per my previous concerns raised two weeks ago, during the winds this Saturday further much larger branches have fallen from the tree. Luckily, as far as I am aware, no damage has been caused to people or property. Fingers crossed there is no property damaged or personal injury caused as the high winds continue through the weekend!!
