Overgrown hedge

Hedge is overgrown reducing width of path making it unusable for wheelchairs, pushchairs. It is a fast stretch of road that is dangerous to step into.

Thank you for your enquiry. A works ticket has been issued to cut back overhanging vegetation from footway. This will be undertaken within the next 6 months. On most occasions, we are completing works sooner (Average time currently 6 - 8 weeks)

Further complaints received as children are having to step into the road, pushchairs can't use the path. Increased number of pedestrians now that children are back walking to school.

The hedge has been cut back but the contractor has damaged a street light, breaking the bracket and then doing a rather crude job of trying to mend it with black tape. This has been reported for repair to the Parish Councils lighting contractor but we need the cost of this reimbursed by the contractor/ NCC
