The drains outside 69/71 Wappenham Road are overwhelmed during heavy rain.
Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 16:44, Tue 30 July 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 1 minute later. ref: 1713975.
This causes flooding in the cellar of No 71 - the start of the flooding is shown in the picture - the water can completely cover the cellar floor a few inches deep - not an emergency but preventable. This was reported recently and someone investigated but the report was that " we can't see a problem". That's because it hadn't been raining at the time!
There are two drains that require cleaning - one in the road which can't be seen because it's covered by water and one in the grass bank. From past experience once these are both cleared the problem disappears.
