Rotten stile leg and collapsed treads

Reported in the Stile-Damaged/Missing category anonymously at 01:34, Wed 31 July 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 1 minute later. ref: 1714266.

In its current condition, the stile is almost impossible to negotiate by less agile users. And because of this, Footpath EV13 is virtually impassable to some. Footpath EV13 is approximately 100 metres in length and traverses a paddock to form a safe off-road recreational walking route that avoids a blind corner and a blind junction on Charwelton Lane. An inspection is requested, with a view to determining either repair or replacement to re-establish the Right of Way. It would be useful if the condition of the treads on the opposite (paddock) side of the stile could be checked/ assessed, but visually these seem to be OK. This issue was originally raised at a Parish Council meeting and a report submitted to NCC November 2017.
