Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 4 minutes later. ref: 1714700.
On Harrowden Road there are a set of traffic lights and a pedestrian crossing that crosses from Gold Street to Hatton Street. The traffic lights on this crossing have been damaged, one of the sets of lights the red light has been smashed and there is exposed/loose wiring and the green light has been smashed and there is exposed/loose wiring and the green light no longer works at all. This is extremely dangerous for pedestrians as the green light is not working, the traffic is stopped and impatient and is dangerous for young children/elderly trying to cross as unsure when the traffic will go given there is no green light.

To confirm, the issue is to do with the pedestrian crossing signal box - the box the pedestrian's press and look at, that either is red where you must wait for traffic to stop or green where it can indicate when you can cross the road. One of the pedestrian signal boxes for the crossing has been smashed and there is exposed wiring and due to this damage, pedestrians do not know when the traffic is going to stop or how long they have to cross the road. This is extremely dangerous for elderly/young pedestrians crossing the road.
