Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 17:30, Wednesday 31 July 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 5 minutes later. ref: 1715399.

The spring drain to south of my house (Spring Cottage) is blocked and the overflow used to run down the main road. This overflow has recently stopped and I am concerned it may be running down beneath my garden and coming out very close to the house. it is very wet and there us actually a flow of water emerging from the bank at the side of the house

  • I have now spoken with a local drainage expert who has examined the site. He has confirmed that the problem has been caused by the blocked spring drain and the overflow is coming down into my garden. The spring is meant to flow under the main road to the storm gullies on the opposite side. The whole system is badly blocked and I give notice that I will be making a claim for the cost of any damage to my house. The matter needs to be investigated and dealt with as a matter of urgency. I have tried to upload photographs of the wet area very close to my house without success. I would like to email them but I cant find an email address on the County Council's website
