Problem with lighta

Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 5 minutes later. ref: 1716050.
The sensors on the lights do not work unless people drive right up to the line. A sign is needed to make it clear that people need to pull up to the line other wise the lights don’t change. I use this junction daily and people are going through red lights after waiting for several rounds of the other lights on the roundabout changing. This is extremely dangerous and needs to be remedied asap. A simple ‘please drive up to the line’ sign would work. I regularly get stuck behind several cars who are sitting at this junction. I have had to get out of my car and tell people to move forward. It is also dangerous as this junction is the main exit for police at the building.

Engineer has attended site 03/09/19 and checked operation of detection and no fault found. This is a driver behaviour issue with vehicles stopping to far back from the white line. We are looking at an engineering solution to help address this problem. Unfortunately as part of the road is not adopted highway this limits our options.
