Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 16:23, Fri 2 August 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 2 minutes later. ref: 1717985.
Despite your employee saying previously that the drain is flowing fine, the photo shows that the drain is blocked. PLEASE can someone come and clear this drain, lots of water runs through the road every time it rains.

This was reported in August by someone other than me. I can say in December the drain continues to overflow and run across the road at the sharp bend where West St meets Croft Way. The problem with this in the winter months is that if the flow freezes cars coming around the bend will easily lose traction. This is a high pedestrian use point with many dog walkers crossing to use Lovers Lane and it is a frequently used pedestrian route for those going to and from the school at West St. For these reasons sliding vehicles are that much more of a hazard. I think resolution has some urgency. Also this is a repeating problem. The council deals with it regularly. Clearing the drain does not help for long. There needs to be an engineering solution to stop the problem permanently.
