Markings on road done by a neighbour to indicate parking space outside the house
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 17:58, Wed 7 August 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 2 minutes later. ref: 1723929.
My neighbour has now asked 2 visitors to my house to move their cars as he says they are parked in his parking space outside his house. He has also marked on the road, lines to indicate where people should park. There are no parking restrictions on the road or residential parking spaces. I know he has no right to do this or ask people to move. What can I do to stop this? I live at 38 & he lives at 36.
Thank you for reporting a fault on the highway. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

Bunting Road has not yet been adopted by Northamptonshire Highways, and we therefore do not have any jurisdiction over it, and cannot take any action in this regard. You would be best served by approaching the landowner to take action regarding this issue. This is most likely to be the developer for the estate.
