Need No through road at Church Lane route at A508 closure

Reported in the Damaged / Missing / Facing Wrong Way category anonymously at 22:01, Saturday 10 August 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 4 minutes later. ref: 1727649.

A508 closed at Grafton Regis Road closed barrier across A508 immediately after Church Lane access (one track road) All traffic has been going into Grafton Regis village (2 one track roads with no footpaths) Previous years a manned vehicle with cones and access only signs have been in place to prevent chaos/danger and verbally stop traffic entering village - as drivers believe they are on a quick diversion to Stony Stratford - manned vehicle and cones in previous years would direct the traffic back down A508 and across to A5.

A few weeks ago 3 vehicles fell off the one track road whilst lost due to A508 closure and trying to find their way
