Large, deep Pothole in Olfield Road
Reported in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 12:31, Tue 13 August 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 5 minutes later. ref: 1730503.
Pothole has been there for a little while and we have learnt to miss it hoping the council would pick this up but yesterday I unfortunately heard someone enter it and it can not have been good for their car. A claim can not be far from coming....

Tonight about 9:00 o'clock pm I was driving on Rugby Rd away from Kilsby where I live. I passed the Cross Roads sign posted for Crick and Barby and a little further up the Road my left tyre dipped into a deep pot hole which made a loud bang and thud noise like I'd hit something. I turned left at the end of Kilsby Lane onto the Hillmorton Rd and then left into an estate to stop and check my tyre, I got out and could see it was flat, the pot hole popped my tyre it's that bad. After I had eventually changed my tyre I went to find the pot hole and actually parked my car near by and walked with a torch. Approaching the pot hole I stood on the grass next to the Road and stopped to let a car pass by, ahead I watched the car but the pothole with a huge dip and a loud bang then the car swerved, with the bang I heard I air gush sound which sounded like that Cars tyre had popped too. When I reached the pot hole I was shocked. There's two or three but the first one is the worst. It's so deep and has a horrible shape tarmac stone edge as it comes back up which is the tyre popper. It needs filling desperately, I hate to think what could happen tonight or in the morning as the traffic increases. I will go back in the morning to take a picture. I will also take a picture of my tyre though it's current condition is extreme as I stupidly tried to make it back down the lane and home within 2 miles as I was anxious about changing the tyre for the first time on my current car.
