Drains between Hargrave Village Hall on Church Road and 40 Church Street Hargrave are all blockedand

Reported in the Blocked/Damaged category anonymously at 19:25, Friday 16 August 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 5 minutes later. ref: 1734804.

I reported the blocked drains over a month ago and was told they would be cleared during scheduled cleaning on 2 August. However it has still not been done and the drains are completely clogged with leaves right through the centre of the village from the Village Hall on Church Road to at least no. 40 Church Street. When it rains the roads flood dangerously. PLEASE clear them properly.

  • Once again the drain at the corner of Cobblers Cottage gushed massive amounts of water onto Church Street last night. We believe the water is having a detrimental affect on our house which borders the footpath.... the render is beginning to come away at ground level. We would urge you to get this sorted asap. We are getting a structural engineer in to give his opinion on the problem.

  • The drain at the corner of Cobblers Cottage, Church Street, has lifted and moved two inches leaving a gap.

  • Drain at the corner of Cobblers Cottage - the cover has, once again, been lifted by the volume of water gushing out and there is a 2 inch gap.
