A45 Between Daventry and Weedon
Reported in the Pothole / Failed Reinstatement category anonymously at 13:16, Sun 1 September 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 4 minutes later. ref: 1751705.
I walked the A45 this morning between Daventry and Weedon. I fear there is an accident waiting to happen. Apart from all of the litter along the pathway, the state of the route was extremely poor for a number of reasons. 1. The path was extremely overgrown in places , both at waist/shoulder height, and at floor level. This forces pedestrians closer to the traffic on the verges. If someone fell awkwardly and landed in the roadway, I fear for the consequences. This was made worse by... 2. The state of the actual path was very poor in places and there were lots of potholes. It would be very easy for a pedestrian to damage their ankles or have eg a push chair turn over as a result. Dues to the lack of maintenance and the encroaching moss etc, the path almost disappears to nothing in places. I look forward to your prompt attention.
