Private Property notice erected on public footpath

Reported in the Sign/Waymarking - Damaged/Missing category anonymously at 20:25, Tuesday 3 September 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 5 minutes later. ref: 1755012.

On 27/8/19 walking on the farm track highlighted, was told by a user of the track that is wasn't a public footpath and shooting took place by the track and it could be dangerous. On 29/8/19 a notice was erected on the access gate reading 'PRIVATE PROPERTY NO TRESPASSING'. This track is a public footpath, there is a 'FOOTPATH' sign at the beginning of the track and it is marked as a footpath on the OS map. This sign is clearly misleading and shouldn't have been erected.

  • The Private notice has not yet been taken down. Work is taking place in the plantation but they don't seem very keen to take the notice down.

  • Please can you sort the continued flooding issues on Corby road out of gretton to Gretton brooke road. At the moment there is very deep water on the second bend out the village across the whole road along with 3 other sections. No photos because it is to dangerous to take as they are on bends. It is only a matter of time before a head on collision
