Trees are overhanging pathway and driveway causing lack of visibility when exiting property onto the road.
Reported in the Restricted Visibility / Overgrown / Overhanging category anonymously at 15:30, Wed 4 September 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 5 minutes later. ref: 1755973.
As mentioned the tree is overhanging causing visibility issues when approaching the road which is liable to cause a road traffic accident. I have already contacted Higham Town Council, East Northants Council and Northants council. The most recent being East Northants who have advised that this is covered by Northants Council via this link. I look forward to hearing from you as to when the issue will be rectified. Preferably before an accident does happen. With kind regards Lynda Eggleton

Hi We have a root problem from the trees planted on our verge, which are extending towards our pavement outside our house on 5 Windermere Drive & we are concerned they may penetrate our foundations.
We would like the council to investigate & carry out repairs to the badly cracked pavement, which might also cause an accident to the returning schoolchildren using this pavement. Please advise actions ASAP?

Sincere apologies for the delay in updating this report due to technical issues. Inspections were made in September for the footway and the trees. Our inspectors found no defects (potholes or trip hazards) that meet the investigatory levels for repair and similarly there were no highway reasons for works to the trees. We will continue to monitor the path through our routine highway inspections which are continuing at the present time. You can also submit another report should you feel any urgent defects have arisen in the meantime, but please make separate reports for separate issues. Updates are being provided in a more timely fashion as technical issues have been resolved.
