Reported in the Obstruction (Not Vegetation) category anonymously at 14:34, Thursday 5 September 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 2 minutes later. ref: 1756830.

The location is Bob Whitworth Way, which is off of John Clark Way. The stone and wood bank partially collapsed about 3 months ago. It's at risk of further collapse and, as it is outside the school, presents a danger to school parents and children. Stone, vegetation and wood debris covers the path leaving buggies/wheelchairs unable to pass

  • Thank you for contacting Northamptonshire Highways. Following the partial failure of the timber criblock retaining walls adjacent to Bob Whitworth Way, and the subsequent structural inspection Northamptonshire Highways have had to close the road for safety reasons. Northamptonshire County Council have commissioned Northamptonshire Highways to undertake further investigations into the cause and determine the best course of action to remedy the situation. At present we cannot give definitive timescales as to how long the road will be closed for whilst we seek an appropriate solution and understand why the retaining walls have failed prematurely.

  • When will this be sorted? Victoria Roast is not suitable for all of the school traffic.
