House 9 Holyrood Road is currently being built. For many months a forklift was parked in front of the property with the forks beneath the kerb. On This monday evening 02/09/2019 at approximately 9.15pm coming back from the shop, I crossed on the corner of Holyrood Road opposite house 9. I was happy in my own thoughts as I crossed, the next thing I was sprawled in agony on my front on the path. Id tripped over the forks of the forklift truck, I hadn't seen them because it was pitch black n there were no warning signs. In the darkness I forgot about the forks. I now have a badly sprained hand, other cuts and bruises. So I am unable to do my volunteering role at Bridge, as a maintenance volunteer, which is impacting on my mental health, never mind the pain in my hand. Since my neighbour asking Tues evening what had happened n me telling him, all of a sudden the forklift has gone !! I went into the council tues, no one could speak to me, ive rung Highways Agency, they don't deal with Residential Roads. I worked hard to get my Cscs card and when I am doing any construction work at Bridge, others safety is MY number 1 priority. But its evident the builder constructing number 9 doesn't think the same! I hope that you guys can re educate the builder about HnS laws so no one ends up dead. Builders details in attached photos.
