Unclear right of way because upright give-away sign is missing.
Reported in the Signal Failure category by Frank Stafford at 20:28, Sun 8 September 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 5 minutes later. ref: 1760445.
Northall St A4300, at the lights, waiting to turn left into Rockingham Road, Kettering. NN16 8JY. When stationary on in the left lane with vehicles in front, from this position, behind the vehicles, a driver is unable to see the give-way markings at the road junction, immediately after the traffic lights. When lights turn green, the line of traffic turning left on this slip road are still unaware/unable to see the road markings which are obscured by the vehicles in front of them. Vehicles continuing to travel left onto Rockingham Road are liable to believe that they have right of way when the lights turn green. However, vehicles travelling across from Eskdaill Road turning into Rockingham from the right, have right of way here. This is a dangerous junction – There should be an upright warning sign to accompany the give-way road markings.
