There have been two incidents recently where cars have overturned between the Willows turn and the Market road turn due to excess speed, my daughter was almost rammed from behind by a speeding motorist today when she pulled out of the Willows turn heading towards the High Street, also Children regularly have to cross here to go to school, what price the cost of two Speed Humps before its too late?

  • Thank you for making us aware of these incidents, we will make further investigations. I know some junctions along Midland Road are raised to help manage traffic speeds, and the section between Grove Road and High Street is generally heavily parked which helps to manage traffic speeds for the majority of careful and competent drivers. We will review the situation following our investigations.
