Road markings are completely worn out and not visible
Reported in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 14:12, Wed 11 September 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 4 minutes later. ref: 1764114.
The white line road markings are completely gone and not visible throughout the stretch of Daventry Road / Welton Lane through Welton Village. However, they are particularly poor and in need or replacement on the bend into the village near the manor entrance and outside Churchill House. The bend is quite pronounced and cars frequently move across the centre of the road into oncoming traffic due to the lack of road markings.

Now that there is a housing development built next to Welton Lane, Daventry the road needs to be completely re covered in tarmac that lowers the noise levels and dB readings. This is part of environmental agreement when development was agreed. The speed limit needs to be reduced also to 30mph from the Welton turn until the road reaches the main roundabout near the Abbeyfields entrance. The road is slim but still a large number of Lorries are coming through, they do not need to come through this road and signs restricting large vehicles should be erected. My house shakes every time a lorry goes past and the traffic does not stick to the 40mph limit although this is way too high anyway. It is becoming unbearable and I cannot sleep at any point in the night or day and the noise levels are way above the legal acceptable limit of approx 50db in my garden and 35db in side my house.
