Footpath condition on Highfield Road is poor - stopping mobility scooter users going out

Reported in the Slabs - Uneven / Damaged / Cracked category anonymously at 11:55, Friday 13 September 2019

Sent to Northamptonshire County Council 2 minutes later. ref: 1766318.

The condition of the footpath on Highfields Road is very poor, the condition of the footpath is potholey, uneven, which causes mobility scooter users extremely discomfort trying to travel on the footpath as they are being bounced around which is unpleasant. This has caused the residents of 117 Highfields Road to stay indoors due to its condition. Also reported that there are not enough dropped kerbs to get mobility scooters up onto other sides of roads. There is a dropped kerb near Rushden Day Nursery but due to the driveway to the nursery, mobility scooter users have to go down the dropped kerb on one side of the nursery then go up the dropped kerb on the other side of the nursery (on the same side of the road). But due to a concrete gully on the driveway of the nursery it is impossible to cross from the dropped kerb on one side of the nursery to the other so has to cross the road to get around this.
