The A43 is closed frequently in the evenings from northampton to kettering for roadworks the diversions take you to holcot but once you reach walgrave it says no through road therefore there actually is not a diversion at all . The diversions signs are not clear and insufficient to actually get you from Northampton to Kettering. The only way to get to northampton is then to go all the way back on yourself onto the a45 and go via wellingborough .
Please ensure the a43 diversions are clearer and you can actually get from northampton to Kettering even when the roadworks are present .
Thank you for reporting a fault on the highway. We will use the information you have provided to assess and prioritise this fault in accordance with our published response times for fault reports.

Thank you for your enquiry. The recent works on the A43 have concluded. However, whenever a closure is used a pre-authorised diversion will always be in place to take members of the public around safely. Your issues will be raised with the relevant team and passed on as feedback for upcoming schemes we may have on the A43.
