The footpath's width is greatly restricted

The footpath's width is greatly reduced by years and years of silt build up. As can be seen the width of the path should be well over a foot wider (perhaps more). Could this be dug out and cleared please? Thank you.

Thank you for your enquiry, A works order has been raised this will be undertaken within the next 6 months. On most occasions, we are completing defects sooner. ). Can you please contact us again if the defect gets any worse so our officers can re-inspect, preferably attaching a photograph (where it is safe for you to take one).
