Request for double yellow lines at the entrance to Waterside Road
Reported in the Road Markings - Worn/Faded category anonymously at 23:23, Wed 25 September 2019
Sent to Northamptonshire Highways 2 minutes later. ref: 1781341.
White lines have recently been painted by the Council at the entrance to Waterside Road with Chester Road, Wellingborough as this first section has been formally adopted by the Council. Residents would like to request that double yellow lines are also painted on both sides of the road on this first section in order to stop dangerous parking being undertaken with cars parked on both sides right up to the give way markings which is in contravention of the Highway Code and creating a hazard for drivers and pedestrians due to the lack of space and visibility when using the junction. As you will see from the picture, this parking also blocks the allocated parking spaces for residents.

Very dangerous parking on the corner of Waterside Road and Chester Road, obscuring vision for anyone travelling down Waterside Road or into the road. It is also very dangerous for pedestrians. I will upload pictures, next time I see a problem.
